Dubrovnik and Villefranche named best cruise destinations in the Mediterranean

Cruise reviews site Cruise Critic has announced 2018’s best cruise destinations in the world, based entirely on consumer ratings and reviews.According to the third annual Cruisers’ Choice Destination AwardsDubrovnik (Croatia) and Villefranche (France) have been chosen the best cruise destinations in Eastern and Western Mediterranean regions, respectively.

This is Dubrovnik‘s third trophy in a row. This fantastic Croatian medieval city – a key filming location for Game of Thrones – remains a major stop on almost all Eastern Mediterranean cruise itineraries. Kotor, another emerging mass tourism destination in Croatia, came second leaving behind everlasting hotspots like Venice, Santorini, Rhodes. Villefranche on the French Riviera and Spanish ports Barcelona and Malaga took the top three spots in the Western Mediterranean region.
