Luxury travel network Virtuoso has released a report on latest trends for American luxury travelers. Based on the year-on-year growth figures in reservations, the report ranked top 10 countries that ‘upscale American travelers‘ are looking to visit in fall and Christmas seasons (September through December 2018). According to the findings, the Middle East seems getting its appeal back among upscale Americans with Turkey and Egypt, the two biggest players in East Mediterranean tourism, experiencing the highest jumps in bookings despite all political and social annoyances in recent years. Here is the top 10 list:
- Turkey – 310% increase
- Egypt – 264%
- Morocco – 144%
- India – 128%
- Cayman Islands – 124%
- Brazil – 92%
- Israel – 88%
- Switzerland – 82%
- Indonesia – 76%
- Greece – 74%
On the other hand, the most popular fall and holiday travel destinations for Americans based on future bookings are as follows:
