Here are the cheapest destinations in Europe for beach lovers

There are even more bargains this year for holiday makers in Europe, especially in countries with devalued currencies. Annual Holiday Costs Barometer prepared by the UK Post Office had a look into the cheapest destinations – mainly for the British tourists, but you get the idea anyway. 🙂

Prices have fallen in most of the 20 destinations surveyed and by over 10 per cent in Limassol, the Algarve, Majorca, and Sunny Beach (Bulgaria) which happened to be the best value destination for the sixth consecutive year. Prices for the nine tourist items are at least a third cheaper than in any of the Eurozone destinations surveyed, making the Black Sea resort a great choice for bargain hunters.

Algarve in Portugal is the second cheapest with prices down by over 16 per cent wheeras Marmaris in Turkey ranked third cheapest in this year’s report although local prices have slightly risen. However, Spain rules the list with highest number of entries, with Terramolinos and Benidorm on the fourth and fifth places respectively and another three among the cheapest 20.

Below are the cheapest five beach destinations in Europe with the prices of basic consumption items. The rest of the report with full list can be found on the UK Post Office report pages.
